31 Days of Wishes – Equality
I wish for equality. Not just between men and women but between humans. A mutual respect for one another no matter your age, skin color, size, sex, profession or any other numerous characteristic judgements that can be made.
Every human being has a place and a purpose on this planet and yet there are those that insist on bloating their self-worth through the attempted repression of others. As if belittling, negative comparisons and crushing another’s dreams will generate power.
What if we celebrated all that was different in each other? Understanding that every person has the exact same rights as we do. Every person would be important. Imagine if each of us treated every one we met with fairness and equality.
Puzzles do not have one piece that is more important than another. Each must have a place in order to complete the vision. What if we looked at each person as a piece in a giant cosmic puzzle? Once their perfect fit is found – we’d have a masterpiece.

About the Author: Raised with hopes, dreams and a desire to make my mark on the world, I set out with excitement and the desire to contribute to the "Greater Good." I took a side trip to raise children and support my husband's career only to realize that "I" got lost along the way. I believe we could have traveled together if we'd both understood the importance of equality and the necessity of evolving roles in the family. My dream is that in the future, all couples will understand the importance of supporting each other fully in word AND deed so each can live in a respectful relationship filled with truth and love.
